Everyone involved is being very careful to avoid comparisons by claiming it's not really very much like Red Dwarf. Though the only big difference they can manage to mention is the fact it's shot without an audience (so Red Dwarf VII then...)

Nah, Lister's moved to Coronation Street.

(...wasn't he in the Ricky & Bianca Eastenders spinoff as well? Makes him about the only actor I can think of to have been in both soaps...)
