It's an airport (I hope).

Stansted is an airport, yep.
It's not in London, though

I once flew there together with Dylan, visiting EmVee in 2002.
You can get a train to somewhere in central London. I takes one or 1.5 hour and costs a lot of money. It was around 23 pounds for a return (or a single) which was more than the flight had cost.
It's quite a big airport, they have shops and chocolate.

My dad lives about 25 mins drive from Stanstead, it's very close to London (Near Braintree in Essex, bout 20 odd miles from the Centre of London). I've got the train into Central London from Dtanstead before, cost £14 for a single, takes about 45 mins tops.
The City Flier (that's what the service is called) stops at Tottenham Hale before it gets to Central London. If you change to the Victoria Line at Tottenham hale, you can get to the centre in about half the time.

I think the Stanstead bus, when I took it, ended up at 15 pounds per person. Doesn't sound different from the train. The problem with them Ryanair and EasyJet flights was always that they go into really remote airports, like the one in Germany that's labeled "Frankfurt-Hahn" and is two hours out of Frankfurt.
But seventy euros beats six hundred dollars any day.
