Ok after trying every single MMO out there (bar a few odd ones) - it now falls to Lineage 2 to try and make me happy...

on a side note, why cant they just make Daggerfall Oblivion an MMO then all would be good?

Anyhows I was wondering if anyone had even played L2? - it looks pretty, which is a good start, has some neat concepts (castle wars) and looks to have all the other aspects id expect from this kind of game in place...
so off I go

I did try SecondLife yesterday, whilst astonishingly clever as u can build anything u can think of and make it work, for example this guy had a mustang car, which could transform into a Back to the future style hover car, working convertible roof etc, neon under lights... its graphics are dated now and it didnt like my computer much, 2fps at best... daft.

ugh Oblivion is STILL not MMO?

that was the only downside IMO of the 3 previous Elder Scrolls games.

Well that and the fact that I could destroy the world by accidentally killing someone in the story thread in Morrowind lol

nay its not, and its a such a shame because the world it presents to me is the one I wish to walk in, its like UO in wonderfull 3D. its a bigger shame when u consider it looks like this...

I played L2 back when it was released, and during beta. I played for about 3 months, and at the end of it I gave away my last 2 months of gameplay because I was tired of doing the super long quest to get a pet, and having it die and then permanently die before I could return to the body. I spent more time killing my pet than I did putting up with severe kill steals and badly designed overworld. NOT a recommended buy on my list.

I read they changed alot of that now, but ill continue for a month and see where I get.

Maybe im just getting old or somthing but I cant seem to find an MMO that I really like any more... they are all flawed in some way.

If Oblivon was online and called UO2, that would be good.

Cool - im on the euro server of L2, taos?

I must admit I did my usuall blag of buying a squillion gold (adrena) for blatent cheating as if im bothered with the game ill carry on.
Seriously tho, $3 = 1 million Adrena? thats just daftness to the extream considering the monsters I kill only give up 50-100 Adrena each!!...

Ive got a COV account i might start, COH kept me happy for quite a few months.

I am in the U.S. server for L2, however... as far as leveling and adenas are concerned, I will just try to tackle on the burden of earning them.

$28 later and 20 million Adena, the money issue was solved and the grind out the window, now I can level and travel the world at will.

So far it started of boring as hell, same area for ages, were talking lvl 15 WoW style all in the same place? duh?

then its opened up to a world thats as big as WoW, but why the slow start, stupid.

Oh you can be PK'd at any time, it feels like UO 7 years ago in that respect.

The cool thing is that, if you are in a territory of the same race type, you can almost not be pk'd (almost), unless you are human... all bets are off.

Tonight was a big change for me, lots more ppl, decent music, interesting scenery, met some friends.
they really need to sort the starting ilse out for humans as that was poo.

Someone did laugh when they noticed at LvL 11 my armour and weapons were a bit special, good enough till 25 ive been reliably told... hah, but I do mash stuff up with em! (500k of adrena later

)

Having fun tho, which is the main thing, lets see how long it lasts!
