I've got to admit I have a soft spot for the old films.

It'll be cool to see a Rocky movie at the theaters - but I don't think it'll be good

heheh... i too have a soft spot for the old films, i too think that this new one won't be very good (as, if i'm being brutally honest most of the originals weren't very good either!)

without a doubt, the first one is a genuinely good film.

they just get gradually worse as they progress!

Exactly.

Though you can't really fault the fight scenes much in II, III and IV.

Remember Airplane 2? It's set in the future, and there's a movie poster on a wall in a scene, with 'Rocky XIII' and a reaaaallly old Stallone on it...

(I couldn't find a photo of that anywhere on the web... )

We may get to see Rocky XIII... just 7 more to go!
