If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Does anybody here like Pink Floyd?

It's my favourite band. My favourite song is "Bring the Boys Back Home". I especially liked the early 80's movie (starring...you know, that guy who looks like a druggie nowadays) that was basically this 2 hour long music video.
"Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man...!"

"We're just two lost souls living in a fish bowl year after year."
Ah... Syd Barrett.... stab him in the head would you, Robert?

I think 'Dark Side of the Rainbow' is pretty cool.

Jessy loves them enough that all 3 of my kids are a result of listening to Pink Floyd

...of the Moon, dude.
I like Pink Floyd, though I prefer their last era, after Waters left.
The Division Bell is wonderful.

Don't really know much about Pink Floyd. So I guess I don't listen to em'.
I don't listen to much music at all acctually. I don't even buy records or download Mp3's.
I have always been a more visual person. Guess that's why I'm such a fan of comics.

I'm guessing the Rainbow is talking about the Dark Side/Wizard of Oz sync-up.
They were my favorite band for a while in high school. I think my favorite piece of Floyd work is the "Live at Pompei" movie. Just amazing to see how the songs progressed to the live versions. Makes the studio versions look absolutely tepid.

Another fan here. A coworker got into them massively as a result of Live-8 and decided to play the Wall at work at any opportunity. Which was cool the first, oh 5 times. Then it got a bit vexatious.
My fave Floyd album is a live bootleg.
