He-Man - DVD

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

It looks really cool - but is He-Man cool? Was the show any good?
I barely remember it - apart from the theme song.
Can't believe I'm still here.

Probably not. ;)

I rent my cartoons out from www.blockbuster.co.uk.

I'm in the middle of Ulyesses at the moment.

I watch 'em while riding my exercise bike.

He-Man was great, though when I was a kid I did take the piss out of it. You've gota love the way they kept using the same frames of animation over and over (He-Man rolls on the floor! He-Man runs up and weilds sword! etc.)

I have the Poooooooweeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrr!

I kind of liked She-Ra more.

But what about Jayce and the wheeled warrios?
When I was a kid I thought it was awesome - almost as awesome as Transformers.
But I havent seen it since then... :(
Can't believe I'm still here.

Yes, that's been a concern of mine as well with lots of these DVDs... it's a trip down nostalgia road, the only trouble is, it probably hasn't been resurfaced in 20 years and it's gonna be a bumpy ride...

Ah, i had an advantage there, i never saw them first time around... so i didn't have that nostalgia factor... but i can quite beleive that they are! :)

How old are you MV? ;)

Seriously though... if anyone ever says, "they don't make cartoons like they used to" they just don't watch any new ones.

27, which means I was 17 or 18 when I first watched Beast Wars. And yes, they are still as good as I remember them.
