I'm going to court! woo hoo

To cut a fairly long story short..
We employed an American lady at work about a year ago. Despite obsecene amounts of training she never grasped the work we did. 7 months later she still hadn't passed her 3 month probationary period (no one has ever not passed) ,so she was sacked.
She is now suing the company for unfair dismissal and has named me as one of several people who racially abused her because of her American acccent.
What really winds me up is that fact that I supported her as much as I possibly could during her time with us, and I was never anything but nice. She was saying before she got sacked that she was going to take the company down if they got rid of her, and now she is using me as a pawn in her scheme. Backstabbing bitch.

With that generalization, you're...pretty on the mark. The amount of crazy lawsuits filed in this country should keep Compy living high for the next couple decades.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:sorry for sweeping genrilsation/joke - I was refering to the 'sueing' nature that plagues the states - tell her to go back to her own country

Sure he will. American women are whores for money. Thanks to Paris and Nicole, it's become "in" to put out with guys just because they've got money!Best First wrote:shame he still won't get laid though, eh?

It may be a sweeping generalization, but she is indeed a cow and it is, unfortunately, a very American way of thinking.

I think that pretty much somes it up by the sounds of what you say. Good luck mate, i hope things work out ok and aren't too much hassle. With any luck it'll get thrown out of court, or she might get charged with wasting court's time.Hound wrote:Backstabbing bitch.
I just hate peoople who never think that it's their fault and have to find blame in somebody else for their own [composite word including 'f*ck'] ups.

Definately. The sad part is that South Park is a pretty good representation of what goes on in the US on a day-to-day basis.sprunkner wrote:Are you thinking of that "South Park" with Paris Hilton and her "Stupid Spoiled Whore" store... and the whore-off with Mr. Slave at the end?
Coz if you're not, you should be.

not hers. i'm sure it was fine.
anyway, whilst i'm sure lots of negative stuff does happen every day, i'm sure a fair bit of ok - nice stuff happens every day. Probably in Boston.

I have a friend who works as a lawyer for one of these companies - I could pass on his details if you're interested.Legion wrote:Going off topic slightly (sorry), does anyone know anyone that's ever actually used anything like Claims Direct? great news!Hound wrote:found out today that this woman has backed down and the case has been dropped relief!
the reality of the situation must have dawned on her!
on a side note: am still considering my own legal action, my main concern is that we, as a company, are in a real low situation at the moment, me getting them to fork out cash could be the end of it...
