I f**king hate winter.

No, really. I ******* hate winter.

How much do I hate winter? I hate winter enough to make a post about it.

It's almost winter. It's cold outside and my toes are chilly. I wake up and go to work in the frost, I see my breath and my hands are cold. The grass crunches when I walk. The leaves are dead and wet in the evening and they cover the ground and I stare at them as I walk home.

I hate snow. It's cold and wet and it stays cold and wet until it's not anymore. I don't like the fact that the air smells of it, even in the city.

******* fall. ******* cold, ******* winter. Blah! :(

... Anyone in a warmer climate want to switch places for a few months? :p Maybe I'll forget it's going to be winter if I'm warm.

Do my poll. I want to know that I'm not alone in my hating of the dead cold season.

Or if you can provide a possible gooder, do so. Gooder is good.

I'd like to see some snow at least once in my life. Too bad the military won't send us far south in Australia enough.

Every now and then I think I like winter.

Then I visit South Dakota, and I remember why I hate it.

I dread and loathe that smell. I know what comes after it.

Months and months of nothing but dead and white. Cold that can steal your breath.

I prefer damp warm earth after thunderstorm smell. There's no better smell on earth. It smells alive.

I personally like the smell of a Chicago style pizza myself, but if you enjoy the smell of wet dirt, well, all the more power to you.

Wierdo.

We still have 20 degrees Celcius outside, so winter is hopefully far away.

I don't like having cold hands and feet. Or cold anything. Bah.

But snow is nice to look at. :) Especially because we have so little of it.

Don't mind the winter. Though I'm sure I'd be sick of it if I lived where you lived Sadie.

Something's up with the weather here at the mo. Yesterday was a warm summer day... in the middle of October. :o

Around here it's usually warm until at least November. I don't remember if it was last year or the year before, but I actually wore a T-shirt to my grandmother's house at Christmas.

Of course my definition of cold is about 50°F, so you might not want to listen to me...

Ye gads, man! What are you doing?!

Don't say it aloud - the powers that be might hear you and realise they've made a mistake! Just smile and go along with it... we mustn't draw attention to the fact...

I find most times of the year have their good and bad, I do prefer Winter to Summer tho. You can do something about being cold and you get that lovely feelnig when you're snuggled up in bed under a huge soft duvet with a hot water bottle n_n

Being hot there's nowt you can do about except put on suncream and try and wear as little as possible. You jsut have to suffer.

Yay! A Sadie Topic! Haven't had one of these in ages! :)

Coldest I've ever experienced?

Has to be the drips from the nozzle of a faulty air-duster.

Luckily it dripped onto my trouserleg(and therefore had a reasonable time to fall), or I might've had serious but localised damage (from the resultant lack of warming during the drips' fall).

Mm, wet dirt.

... Coldest?

Spidey's first girlfriend... :o

Nah. Had to be somewhere around -38 C. Literally "Cold that could steal your breath".

I'm currently living in a city known for it's ackable winters, too... agh.

Though today was awesome weatherwise here as well. I feel oddly cheated as I was all set to complain about it. ;)

Coldest is I think between -10C and -20C... not sure.

But this november I'm going to the Swedish forest and expect a lot of snow!

I find I have several questions:

Where doth Sadie reside? I'm guessing... Boston? Quebec?

Why are the Scandanavians warm?

Why does a chicken? I don't know why.

Anyway, Utah seems to be unable to ever have a proper fall or spring. It goes straight from blazing hot, sunburning and blinding, to freezing rain and snow. (tho when the sun comes out there's still sunburning and blinding.) I don't know if it's a desert thing. Particularly a 4,000 foot high desert thing. We may never find the answer. But, then again, we found Macchu Picchu. Which is much higher than 4,000 feet. So there's hope. Right now it's freezing. Here, not in Macchu Picchu.

I do like winter more since I got married. (See lyrics to "Too Darn Hot" by Cole Porter, http://www.lyricsfreak.com/e/erasure/50869.html ) And since I got fatter when I got hitched, there is another bonus for cold.

Do you know which part of Sweden you're going to? 'Cause down here in the south we rarely have snow in november :(
