Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

Post by adam.creighton » Sun Oct 09, 2005 3:35 pm

Really, really looking forward to this. I have loved Wallace and Gromit from day one, brilliant, unique characters, an amazing level of detail in the characters and scenery, the whole Britishness of the thing. Will be a nice change from all the recent CGI. And hopefully we'll get some kind of cameo from the penguin. :)

Looking forward to it myself. As of today it's America's number 1 film :)

Really? Wow. Yeah, going to see this will be fun. The 'puns' on the posters aer awful, and yet strangely funny...

And took the Evil Penguin with it, among others.

Those others include Morph.

No word on whether the cooler punk grey morpher thing whose name I've apparently forgotten made it out, yet. Fingers crossed.

...I give in, you win... rape and pillage all you want but don't hurt the face!

In other news- has anyone noticed how A Grand Day Out is generally glossed over now? I think its a brilliant animation but because of the more primitive character designs it never seems to be shown or spoken about (Sky were doing a W&G marathon but didn't show it!)

Really? That's terrible. It's my favourite of the 3 W+G things I've seen. Saw it years ago on late-night Ch4. (old late night Channel 4 used to be really, really good, didn't it? Cool short animations, Bill Hicks shows, Godzilla movies...) donkeys before the other two were made. Utterly bizarre, but brilliant. And slightly dark, when seing it for the first time, that late.

The skiing coin-op robot in that is genius. And also heart-melting.

Chas! Ta for that. He was punk and a half..

Channel 4 seem to go through phases of being absolutely brilliant and mind-numbingly crap.

It never ceases to amaze me that the channel with possibly the biggest reservoir of genuinely brilliant talent produces the must garbage.

And the refrigerator robot thing does indeed rule all

Yeah, those were the good old days of C4, before reality TV took center stage... :(
It was a cool period, i remember watching those Godzilla movies (i never realised that there were that many of them until then)... classic! I seem to remember they did a season of Hammer Horror too. That was the first time i saw Quatermas and the Pit, another classic film imho! :)

anyway, i seem to have veered off topic... *cough*

Man, C4 at night used to be so good. Anyone remember the Secret Cabaret?

Back on topic *cough*, I really like GDO, it's a shame they don't refer to it these days :( It must still be available though, surely?

You can get a DVD of the 3 previous features, right now. We got some in the other day.

I remember Secret Cabert and Quatermass and the Pit. That film rules. They showed at least one other Quatermass flick as well...
