Hurricane Relief Day

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Hurricane Relief Day

Post by Optimus Prime Rib » Sat Oct 01, 2005 4:16 pm

Wednsday, October 5th has been designated as "Dine out for Katrina" night by Outback Steakhouse and all of its subsidaries ( Carrabas, Bonefish Grill,Cheeseburger in Paradise, Roy's, Flemings). What we as a company are doing is donating 100% of our sales to the Red Cross Katrina fund. The last time we did this was for 9/11 and we raised 8 million dollars in one night. This was also 5 years ago when we only had about 600 Outbacks and less than 150 restaurants of the other ventures COMBINED. Now we have over 1000 Outbacks and about 500 of the other Ventures. We have the potential to make 15 to 20 million this time to donate.

So please, even if its just a salad or something, spend a couple bucks at one of these restaurants this coming Wednsday. This is for a great cause!

Uh, I'd buy a cheap salad. If it weren't for that ocean that's inbetween. Would be cool to dine at your diner one day.
