Serenity Countdown

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Next Thursday. 7pm. Cineworld Huntingdon.

Wooha.

A friend of mine spotted a trailer for it last night when we were watching that dull footie match in the pub. He indicated that he wanted to see it but thought it would be ****. I said it would be brilliant because Firefly is brilliant.

He said he'd never heard of Firefly.

I am leaving for his in a few minutes. He is borrowing it. He does not know this yet.
Grrr. Argh.

I think they showed it during Lost as well.

Looks good, but felt a little too TVM to me. Probably just due to the Firefly aspect.

Also never seen Firefly, btw.

A coworker of mine has the Firefly box set and has been passing it around the office for the past few months. In her words: "To get as many people addicted as possible!"

Unfortunately I can't skip studying this weekend, but hopefully my anatomy class will release its claws long enough for me to go next weekend.

The TV spots are well dodgy, in my humble. The full length trailers are the bomb diggy, on the other hand.

Do I need to see Firefily before Serenity? I can always rent the series.

It would help...plus it's only 13 episodes and utterly enthralling.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I'd be up for that if

a) I could afford an unscheduled trip to London
b) Wasn't working next Friday
c) Wasn't seeing the movie the night beforehand anyway

******* great idea, though. :)

Bah. Anyone who hasn't seen Firefly and/or hasn't seen or doesn't like Buffy will take one look at the trailer and go, "Hmm, that looks kind of lame, and I can't even tell what it's about".

*goes back to watching Babylon 5 over again*

I hath seen it. I went to the local 7pm showing with a co-worker and hist friend. All of us walked away with smiles and good remarks. And that is without me having seen Firefly yet. ( I will correct this next week)
