If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Cycling is really fun. :) One of the few sports wich I acctually enjoy on some level. I need to do that, next time I visit my sister in Swiss. Ya need some proper mountains for that, yes?

I wanna be big and sturdy like you btw, mate. :) Cause then I can push people around. But I weigh only 123,5 pounds... :( I always get pushed around.

I'm a big cycling enthusiast, but it's difficult finding anybody to go riding with. Glad to see you're having fun, though. It's great excercise, even if it doesn't feel like it.

I'm too big at the moment Preds, 246 lbs. Man I got to exercise more.

Yeah I'm really enjoying the cycling, we try to arrange a ride every Sunday, usually end up in a pub for a couple of pints and a meal. It's kinda hard getting back on a bike after a mixed grill and a few swift Stellas :D

Jesus-f*cking-christ man! You weigh almost exactly twice as much as me! 111.58 kilos!

How the.. how do.. How'd you get so big?? You don't seem to be as tall as Impy, who's nearly 2 meters tall, at 6.5 foot, so how'd ya get so big? You been doing some serious martial-arts training or some other demanding excercise in the past?

I used to do a lot, Kung-fu Tuesdays and Thursdays (An hour weight lifting afterwards on a Thursday), Circuit training on Mondays and Wednesdays and ice skating on a friday.

Stumbled across dope in my college years and slowly it all went to pot (excuse the pun). Although the local council knocking down the gym I studied kung-fu at didn't help much.

I played rugby for a while, tried Ju-jitsu and Judo too even kickboxing but none of those really grabbed my interest.

That looks like fun! :)

I only do cycling to get me to work, to the shops, to friends, etc.

Tried this summer to go on a cycling holiday to Belgium. Riding against the wind/storm for three days, then got veryvery ill (some nasty virus) so we went back home and I was in bed for the rest of the holiday. Not so nice. And we didn't even make it to Belgium. :(

A friend of mine does mountainbiking, and he's in pretty good shape, so I guess you will be too! Good luck! :)

That's bad luck Eline, glad you're feeling better now. A shame your holiday ended like that though.

Don't worry, we are trying again in November!
My boyfriend just booked us a holiday to Barcelona :swirly:

Five days of sightseeing and sitting in the park and good food (and a bit of shoe-shopping) and all the Gaudi-things, so I am completely happy at the moment.
