What is the best thing ever made?

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Apart from human and animal life.

Is it perhaps a film? a book, an AT-AT... transformers?

Let the great debate about somthing that cant be worked begin!

How about a fireplace? Or a building? Or a boat? Or a religious belief? Or... or... or Legion's Cheese!

Hard to say. I don't think there is a 'best invention' because that's working from the premise that technology and civilization are inherently desireable. There are plenty of people throughout history who have led happy, productive lives without steel, asphalt, or internet chat rooms.

But if you want to talk about the best invention ever due to its decisive impact on civilization, I would have to say the written word.

Chuck Norris, obviously:

The original theme song to the Transformers was actually "Chuck Norris--more than meets the eye, Chuck Norris--robot in disguise," and starred Chuck Norris as a Texas Ranger who defended the earth from drug-dealing Decepticons and could turn into a pick-up. This was far too much awesome for a single show, however, so it was divided.

Every night at 8:00, a truck pulls up to Chuck Norris' house. In the truck are a bunch of orphans. For the next half-hour, Chuck Norris practices roundhouse kicks on the orphans while "It's a Hard Knock Life" plays in the background. At the end of the session, the orphans say "Thank you, Mr. Norris." in perfect unison, then march into the truck in silence.

Can I vote for me?

...aww... :(

best invention ever... well penicillin is pretty damn good, but for my general day-to-day life I'd have to say computer networks. I honestly couldn't live without the Internet now :) In terms of other stuff its all relative, if someone invented a cure for HIV I'd say that for example.
