Footy games.

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I think England strolled around the pitch doing nothing - except Rooney who was great as usuall.

In all honesty I belive that half the chelsea players are told to not overstrain themselves when they have Arsenal to play on Sunday.

I dont like the fact we let 4 goals in tho, thats just poor keeping by David James, but oh well. not to fussed.
England rarely win friendlys we do well in proper games.

I really cant agree with you there - at least not when I look at your results in the Euro 2004 (EDIT; maybe I misunderstood you. I mean that the only teams you won against were Switzerland and Croatia = not very impressive. However, maybe you are saying that you actually played really well, but lost anyways [against France and Portugal]).

How did England play in the first half?

holland-germany 2-2

robben didn't overstrain himself ...he should've scored 5 goals instead of only 2.

germany sucked, but still got a draw...as usual we had a zillion chances but couldn't finish the job..those damn germans get 3 and score 2
and we have makaay, robben, van nistelrooy, van persie.....etcetc...

Did Kahn or Lehman play for Germany?

While we are on goalies; Andreas Isaksson, Swedens keeper, played like a friggin god.
He did alot of amazing saves, and he was really the main reason we were able to win the game (our defence played really unstable). Still cant belive that Man United chose van der Sar over him.
Can't believe I'm still here.

We lost to a jammy goal by Zidane from miles out,

and Portugal went to penltys, as per normal, we were good enough to win.

We are still a world class side - but we dont do friendlys.
