After the massively (1pm -5am next day on the beers is pretty damn massive), success of Tranfans' first ever official Transfest 'convention' (piss up) its time to share the love (albeit a bit late, as i am lazy).
Those of you who turned up and purchased a copy of our a-m-a-z-i-n-g Transfest comic may have noticed a competition to win some nifty Robot Masters kit. Due to the slightly, ahem, limited print run, we are opening this up to everyone.
So here you go:
We want to see your best rendering of UK fan fave Impactor in this topic by the end of Saturday 17th September (GMT).
The best entry will win a Robotmasters Star Sabre and Victory Leo, as well as having their wntry made into a Transfans wallpaper by the ever so talented Mr Impactor Returns (unless you don't want us to).
The competition is not open to Transfest contributors, Field Marshal Haig, Field Marshal Haig's wife, all Field Marshal Haig's wife's friends, their families, their families' servants, their families' servants' tennis partners, and some chap I bumped into in the mess the other day called Bernard.
Judgement will be made by me, so if your name's Pat and you are good at running companies into the ground it may also not be worth the effort, otherwise go hog wild.
Cheers
BF

Heh, ok so EmmVee can now enter the contest, but according to himself he will only do it for fun. This does indeed makes it easier for the rest of us to cash in.
I'm thinking, that those left, that are acctual artists, like perhaps Aux, JetStreamX and Impy will cop this one in.
I'm feeble at such things, but would enter just for kicks with something horrid if it wasn't for the fact that I don't have a scanner, or even a digicam.

Because of course Impy had absolutely nothing to do with the making of the comic either...Predabot wrote:I'm thinking, that those left, that are acctual artists, like perhaps Aux, JetStreamX and Impy will cop this one in.
And you don't need a scanner or digicam. Just draw on your screen with a permanent marker.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Impy did indeed have a very great amount of deal to do with the comic, however, I interpreted Besters re-mark as such that out of all the people who worked on the transfest comic, only you were to be excluded.Metal Vendetta wrote: Because of course Impy had absolutely nothing to do with the making of the comic either...

Sometimes I suspect English is not your first language, PredsPredabot wrote:I interpreted Besters re-mark as such that out of all the people who worked on the transfest comic, only you were to be excluded.
Though if this site were in Swedish I would be screwed

Well I was going to enter under a pseudonym, but I can't change my user on my home pc for some reason, so this is my entry:

All in the spirit of fun though

as much as I like it, I think u should be slapped for succumbing to DW'itis of beveled arm edges and squating poses.
ok im a hard man.
Personally, I have this sketch in front of Mr MV gave to me here, its actually right here on my computer screen because I like it so much. it has texture and grit, and bloody fantstic understanding of light and dark on flat surfaces.
sorry if I sound rough, its late, im drinking wine. MV its a great bit of work, I just think this sketch in front of me represents your better style. when i look at it, its makes me feel creative, perhaps thats just me, but it has a certain charm and energy that I really love.

Thanks Impy - believe me the one I did for the competition was mostly in jest (it's heavily based on Ratchet's MTMTE pic) I just fancied a go at aping the DW style again...Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:sorry if I sound rough, its late, im drinking wine.
