Dude, what the hell? What is up with Elton?
Tupac; shot people, got shot, didn't die, got shot again, still didn't die - but because of the injurys died four days later. Has spent a lot of time in jail, etc.
Elton John; Has nothing in common with Tupac.
Where the hell did Elton get the idea "oh yeah, I'll buy the rights to some Tupac song that hasnt been released, and then I'll sing some crappy chorus, whilst the dead rapper takes care of the rest".
Why am I so upset? I dont like the fact that people are still making money on Tupacs music (however, I think that all money that Elton makes on singles, goes to charity).
He's been dead almost ten years, leave the ************* alone.
I wouldn't be so upset if I knew that all money that's made on Tupac-music went straight to charity or somethng.
Next week you'll have Bob Geldoff making some song out of Kurt Cobain and Freddie Mercury material - sprinkled with some Bob Marley beats.
My morning rant is now over. Thank you.

Actually, it went more like this:Obfleur wrote:Where the hell did Elton get the idea "oh yeah, I'll buy the rights to some Tupac song that hasnt been released, and then I'll sing some crappy chorus, whilst the dead rapper takes care of the rest".
Eminem was roped in by whomsoever decides these things to produce a new Tupac album.
Taking one of the unfinished tracks, he decided to flesh it out with a sample of an Elton John track. Which I'm not even sure he needs Elton's permission to be able to do, just the consent of the track's publisher (the record label).
End of rant correction. Continue!
Grrr. Argh.

So am I. Brend's "correction" has raised my opinion of him a little but he's increasingly the record company's lacky. Like all rappers today.Metal Vendetta wrote:Starting to go off Eminem...Brendocon wrote:Eminem was roped in by whomsoever decides these things to produce a new Tupac album.
Am I the only one who hate the fact Tupac has realised more albums after his death than before. Most of it isn't very good either.....
I read in the Telegraph that Public Ememy were blasting rapper's for selling out and using their legacy to happily make money for the very people Public Enemy rapped against.
