This should probably go elsewhere on the site (like in the Transfest forum) but I wanted to make sure that everyone sees it - perhaps one of the mods or admins could do one of those "post across all forums" things, or make it sticky (f'narr) or whatnot. I dunno how these things work 'cause the only time I was ever a mod was on the Moon board and I never got around to doing any modding there 'cause I was too busy posting here...
Anyway, yes, I have Transfest comics ready to ship so if you would like to see the gripping conclusion to my Magnus/Impactor story Great Wreckspectations, witness the beginning of our post-G2 continuity with Begin Again (by the lovely Paul Duggan and Matt Webster), laugh along with Molestrangler: A Christmas Carol (by Karlos the Jackal) and Dilfirst (me again), look for your name on the Shockwaves letters page (Shockwave did it) or find out more about the Autobots' resistance leader with our AtoZ entry for Emirate Xaaron then this is your chance. Oh, and it has a gorgeous cover and layout all done by the very talented non-mod Impy.
Comics cost £12 GBP plus postage to whatever part of the globe you currently inhabit and are sold on a strictly not-for profit basis (they cost £11.60 to print and it gets delivered in a stiff envolope costing around 40p. Orders will be taken on a first-emailled, first-served basis, although those who contributed to the issue will have one reserved for them (that's Predabot, Lynchy, Spidey and...?) - these people should also email me to arrange payment and delivery.
So if you want one, all you have to do is send me an email at robleesejones at gmail dot com with "I WANT A TRANSFEST COMIC" in the subject line and a copy will be reserved for you. I don't accept any major credit or debit cards but cheques made out to "R L Jones", good hard cash and possibly Paypal will be fine. I'm not sure about Paypal yet as I have an account but I haven't used it in about a year so that may be tricky.
So what are you waiting for? Send off an email now to make sure you don't miss out on one of the most eagerly-awaited convention exclusives of the year, limited to 26 copies worldwide (although I certainly don't have that many left). Once they're gone then they're gone...

Oh yeah, we totally beat IDW to it, and we're just a bunch of guys on a message board who said "wouldn't it be cool if...?" rather than a professional comics company. But then they will sell millions of copies of theirs, and we'll sell 26 if we're lucky. So it goes.

Hmm...seems a bit pricy don't you think? (A bit more than 144 swedish crowns, that's more than my lil' 100 page giant of Planet X wich I'm holding, wich cost 39 crowns)
How was this number calculated? I'm guessing Impy may be the man to answer that, since he might know the print-cost and such.
I just noticed the little text entailing the costs...Err...

Err...I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, and if so I appologize. I know the quality of the book is high, and that a lot of love went into it.
I was just shocked at the price, sorry. I'm too short of cash EmmVee. And I've never made any of these kinds of transactions either.
You can give my copy to Brendy, if he hasn't already ordered one.

Same here on both accounts. I still plan to get one if I can.Predabot wrote:I'm too short of cash EmmVee. And I've never made any of these kinds of transactions either.
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

We shall all send our money to Rob in unwashed underpants. Do they have to be our own?

Okay if someone can explain how Paypal works again I'll set up a Paypal thingie. Otherwise...I dunno, international money orders?
FYI the reason the price is so high is because we did a limited run. If we had printed 25,000 then they would cost about £2 each. Sorry guys, it's the way it is. If there's a next time (and I sincerely hope there will be, I have a killer script) we should be able to secure a slightly better price but believe me the quality of these things is really very good and value for money considering the rarity of this convention exclusive
Basically, buy it. Or don't. I have one already
And I do accept used underwear.

No, those are the underpants gnomes. Autobloke's just trying to make sure they don't get a monopoly on the market.KingMob wrote:Where are you getting all these pants from? Are you the bloke who keeps thieving me smalls off the washing line?
