Where have I heard of Underpant Gnomes before? It's really bigging me that I can't remember.Señior's Covenant wrote:No, those are the underpants gnomes. And they already have a momoploy on the market: Monoploy- The Underpant Gnome Edition.
Do not pass 'Go' - do not pass wind in your grundies.
Simon Furman? Who's he?
Make him pay double for his copy.

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

Now I didn't say that.Metal Vendetta wrote:even bigger geeks
Of course, you don't have to wear them for the event - but it would be cool - they could just be given out during the night (or sold - it would probably only cost about £13 to do one - nearly the same as the Transfest comic).
And then think of wearing a nice tee with a cool TF pic on the front, and our site's web address and 'Transfest '06' across the shouders on the back to all the other TF conventions to let all know from where we hail.
I'll have to mock something up.
It was the cute one, too. Dammit.Metal Vendetta wrote:That sounds like a plan - though it'll mark us out as even bigger geeks than we already appeared. Having said that, it was Andrew in the ST:TNG T-shirt who got that bunny-girl's number...
Although I take solace in the fact that she was blatantly obligated to get some bloke's number before the night was out and he was just closest.
[EDIT] and isn't the next event being called "Transfest - Target:2006" or somesuch?
Grrr. Argh.

Good work, Impy.
Spidey and Mob, I've just posted your comics (in proper "Please Do Not Bend" envelopes) so look out for those over the next couple of days. Also posted one each to Matt the artist and Wildfur (I paid for those, it was worth it to get a phone call from Simon himself). The guy at the post office raised his eyebrows at names like "Gilvatron", "The Mob", "Websterbot" and "Furman Maximus" but when I explained we were Transfans he understood completely...
So I now have 3 issues reserved and 10 left to sell. Last chance for board members to grab one before I start pimping them on other boards and/or eBay after the weekend...incidentally the complete cost including postage (within the UK) comes to £12.89, and probably a pound or two more for overseas. Get your orders in now because when they're gone, they're gone...

I'd save at least the last one FOR ebay. Spread word of it being the last issue of this exclusive and watch as they go at it. Could be fun.Metal Vendetta wrote:So I now have 3 issues reserved and 10 left to sell. Honestly I'd like to see Impactor be the focus on the shirt, with the wording done in a similar color scheme to him. He could be the spokesbot for this stuff, y'know?

Mine was just a taster. I'd much rather a tee that looks like something else from afar - like those pictures of skulls that are actually people sat at a table or something.Brendocon wrote:Gotta love tees like that.Metal Vendetta wrote:Nah, I was thinking more of the Transfans Shockwave logo for the T-shirt. Oooh, love those T-shirts.
I would so wear a Transfans T-shirt.
When I read the 'Transfest 06 t-shirt' suggestion, before I read on, I immediately thought of the Transfans Shockwave. Reckon that'd be a winner.
But now seeing that Scorpy, I'm wondering if the site's, um, 'head' motif could be carried onto the T-shirts somehow. I really like the TF heads images you have up in the corner of the screen here. Iconic and subtle.
Cheers for the heads-up on the comic, EmVee. Yay, some nice post and not bills!
And Simon Furman phoning you, and you sending Wildfur a comic, is total class. Nice one.
edit: I got me comic, thanks! It's really great guys, cool artwork (love the cover) and the letters page had me laughing my guts out. Great stuff, cheers.
