Maximo Park - "A Certain Trigger"

The Go! Team - "Thunder, Lightning, Strike"
The Magic Numbers - "The Magic Numbers"

Hard-Fi and Bloc Party both deserve it in my book. So it'll probably go to Polar Bear...

Was gonna say the Kaisers too, but I remembered the award is for originality and stuff, whereas Kaiser Chiefs are basically XTC vs Blur.

Maximo Park kicked ass. I went crowdsurfing, to the after-show party (easy blag!) and met the lead singer who was the nicest bloke ever. Top marks. I told him, "I hope you get the Mercury".
