I just watched Scream

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Oh yes. I would probably commit murder to 'do' her too.

If you're of the opinion that Neve Campbell is hot, you should see "Wild Things"

I'm sure all the boys have seen Wild Things.

I think the first 2 Scream flicks are great. The third is a bit silly.

What's that guy's name... Matthew Lillard - was that the one he was in? (only ever saw the film once - years ago). I remember him being a cool guy until he did 'Scooby Doo' and the dire 'Without a Paddle'. Although I have to admit he was perfect for Shaggy - even if the SD movies were pump.

I used to date a girl who looked like Neve Campbell. Well, for a week - didn't get to bed that one either. :(

Matt Dillon was in Wild Things. I think Lillard was in Scream.

That's what I meant - should have put it better.

And to slant this topic sideways (if no-one minds) what about the 'Scary Movie' versions of Scream? Brings it all together as a complete topic. :)

I thought Scary Movie 1 was OK. Haven't seen 2 or 3 yet. Unlikely to unless they come on TV or something.

Scream 1 & 2 are dead on the money IMHO. I watched 3 in Amsterdam and thought it sucked monkey balls, but I was probably way too stoned to appreciate the subtleties of the plot, or indeed, understand what the hell was going on anyway...
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Best bit about 3 was the Carrie Fisher cameo.

I love the fact that the stud Neve goes out with in 2 was the fat kid from Stand By Me.

Thought the first Scary Movie was mediocre. Had some decent moments, but was pretty puerile overall. Taking the piss out of a film that was actually sending itself up it fairly ridiculous.

Thought the second one was *****. The third one made me want to hunt down the Wayans Brothers and kill them. Even though I know it was a different team responsible for it. It made the Baby Jeezus cry.

Has there ever been a third film that was better than the second? I was being optimistic... plus I was back-to-backing on them.

I watched Daredevil later the same day.

That was a **** day.

Blade: Trinity? I know I liked third Lethal Weapon more than second, too.

I liked first Scary Movie. Second had only couple of good moments, and third just shows that Leslie Nielsen doesn't star in funny movies anymore.

First Scream is fun. :)

Revenge of the Sith. Maybe Rocky. There are those who like Goldmember more than The Spy Who Shagged Me.

Was a sixth movie.

I don't care about chronology - there were five movies in the series that were written, shot and released before it.

And if it wasn't for Eps IV-VI, nobody would have even bothered showing up for II and III.

I actually watch a lot of **** films. Mainly because if you don't watch them, you can't call 'em crap.

That said, I really really reccommend avoiding Catwoman at all costs known to man...

Any 3rd movies better than the second? no, can't think of any.

Nope. The third movie is usually the killer, and if it doesn't kill off the series, it usually should.

Exhibits A through F: Back To The Future, Superman, Batman, Hellraiser, Mad Max, Terminator, and many, many more where the sequels went straight to video...

Chasing Amy.

Despite it containing increased Affleck, no Stan Lee and no discussions about Superman blowing his load through Lois Lane's back, I think I prefer it... I feel it's a technically better movie than Mallrats.

Oooh, that's a good one.

And Rebis, while T3 was not as good as T2, it certainly was a lot better than most of those movies you mention, and I'm excited about T4.

I just watched Clerks for the first time, and I can't really see what all the fuss was about. And Kevin Smith probably wishes he could kiss his own arse, he loves himself so much, what with all those intros he does on his DVDs.
Dogma and J&SB Strike Back were fun though. Chasing Amy was passable, and rates higher than Clerks in my book.

I'm of the opinion that Kevin Smith loves the sound of his own voice - I've found some of his stuff funny, but I dont think he's particularly special.

I disliked Dogma, but really need to get around to seeing the others.
