If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Did I miss something?
Post

Just started driving again after being able to stop taking about half of my medication, and I was amazed to find the petrol station just up the road from me was charging 91.1 pence for a litre of unleaded. Last I saw it was 84.9 pence (it's always been a few pence more than other garages - but nearer, so it offset the extra cost).
Was there some oil/tax hike or something that I missed? Or is my local petrol station just taking the p*ss?

Just the global increase of the price of oil. Nothing to worry,
it's simply because it's rarer. And in 10-15 years we're going to need another power-source as we'll be forced to start rashoning it to use for materials.

I understand that - I'd just have expected to hear of some kind of outrage at the price increase if it was nationwide.
Besides, soon all vehicles will run off of the power generated by my charisma and sexual magnetism. That's last us for centuries.
Honest...

It's gone up loads. I heard something on the news about the government having to delay the next rise this autumn to give motorists a break.

considering we had these petrol protests last year when we were at 87p a litre I find it funny now the average price is 90p and no one seems to have noticed...
£1 a litre cant be far off now... how daft is that? - cooking oil cheaper!

I had one of those "This is how we do it in our country!" talks with Rob about how much Americans complain that we'll soon be paying 3$ a gallon. Considering that's equal to about two pounds, I don't think you blokes (and Autoblokes) would complain.

I ******* hate gas. I really, really do.
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

Sorry - I had boiled eggs yesterday. (brought to you by 'Obvious Joke Corp.')
So, why aren't we protesting again? (well, not WE as in ME). Or did I hear correct and a law was quickly passed after the last blockade problem to stop such an action?
