Store Wars

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

That's really well done. The sets and the direction were great. Well, for a vegetable movie. Better than Phantom Menace too.

For a moment, I thought this was going to be about the old Whizzer&Chips story.

Oh well, looks good, anyway.

The one with the department store and the little shop with the fat guy with glasses and the kid on the bicycle?

Was it 'WOW!' comic that had 'Spare Part Kit' - the kid with the exosuit limbs and the 'Beany Control Cap'?

Anyone remember Hardware Wars in the 80s? Possibly the best Star Wars spoof. Better than Spaceballs anyway.

I'd also like to see George Lucas in Love.

I love that film. I always snigger at the flying waffle-iron thing and the woman sunbathing on 'Tattooine'.
The commentary on the DVD is amusing too.

I think 'WOW!' comic had 'Shipwreck School' too, if that happens to jog your memory at all, Rebis. Or could it be that I have knowledge you do not for once?
Pity it's quite useless knowledge.

Nope, nothing at all.

Which leaves me to 2 possible conclusions:

1. 'WOW!' comic existed prior to my initiation to comics,

and/or,

2. 'WOW!' comic was not distributed by the wholesalers my father worked for.

I'm talking very early 80's here - around when 'The Uncanny X-men' was reprinted in a UK large format magazine.
