Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

I got back from the hospital about two hours ago and am in great pain 'cos they stuck a tube down my throat and cut out a small part of my lung to test. I also got told off for smoking (yay doobies!).
I really should be resting, but I couldn't resist dropping in (I won't be staying long today though).
My throat feels like I've been gargling sand and my chest hurts a bit too. I got cut up this morning, but had to stay for hours to let the drugs wear off and for them to see if I was okay before I could go home.
Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow, and my results will be good ones when they arrive.
I cannot have beer right now (getting back to the topic).
Sorry to kill the mood.

Since this topic is already called "beer", how 'bout an informal poll
What's your favorite beer?
Mine would have to be Carta Blanca.

T'was Corona done up with salt and lime. Good inexpensive ****. I also miss the straw trick. I'm sure most know it, but I'll share anyway. You take either one of those flexable straws, or as I used to take an ordinary straw and just burn it slightly an inch and a half down, fold it and wait for the plastic to cool to give it a nice angle. I'm not sure of what exactly it's doing, but it practically shoots the beer down your throat. Good stuff.
Man I could use a drink sometimes.

I've done that afore-the straw allows air into the bottle, which helps push the beer-o down your gullet. At least, that's my understanding of it.Señior's Covenant wrote:T'was Corona done up with salt and lime. Good inexpensive ****. I also miss the straw trick. Jeez, Autobloke, I hope you're doing better today. That sounded rough, man.
Favourite beer...well, I'll drink most stuff really...except Tennents'. Urg, the very thought makes me shudder.
But I'm mainly one of those types who don't really see the need for beer when whisky and vodka exist, I'm afraid.

Ta. I feel a bit better today, but I won't be doing much that requires moving about for a few days.KingMob wrote:Jeez, Autobloke, I hope you're doing better today. That sounded rough, man.

And you can add beer to it too.

I thought it was some kind of lineup of famous people who had killed under the influence of alcohol. I don't follow sport, y'see.Obfleur wrote:Yeah. It's Nicolas Anelka - one of the greatest players to ever play in Arsenal
How do we all feel about cider? My mum comes from Somerset - home of scrumpy.
