I asked Pred's to keep the old Font as you did a really good job Impy, hope you don't mind?

Ye art most welcome. I went for a somewhat simpler, less insanely glowing style on this one. I think it came out pretty good.

That's Autobot City in the Background btw, and the font is the G2-font that used to be on the covers.

I suppose it's really about time I made a new one for myself, or changed to an old, but the political message in me current sig is so damn good. I don't want to loose it.

I have to think and prepare clearly for the next one.

Naah, on this sunny-streaker sig I think it's tolerable. SUnstreaker reads out pretty good. Maybe not the AUX-text, but what the heck. I'll try some contrast on my next sig.

Didn't say I didn't - just clarifying what I thought Impy's point was.
I really must do a better sig myself - the quality of everyone else's all of a sudden keeps putting me to shame. And I know I can do SO much better than Shaun (who is still cool though).

I didn't mean it like that, I was just trying to stop an argument starting.

I see what everyone is saying.

Just thought that I'd point out that I like it and thus stop any bickering.

TBH I can't see blue working, but may be red would. But then I am more than happy with the sig as it is.

Now I have 2 quality sigs to choose between and that awful Darth Aux one I made myself, of course not forgetting Pimp Daddy Whale

On an unrelated note, I'm going to scan a few pics in tonight I think and post them in fan art.

PS: I like the Shaun pic you "Prink"

I keep meaning to post those other pages from my BW/G1 strip, but the artwork is A3 and I'm too lazy to traipse to the copy shop to get them reduced for scanning just yet.

I must put something in the 'Build a 'bot' topic too.

Why not just scan in the top half, then the bottom half and recombine the scans afterward?

Considered that, but it's messy and too much hard work. I'll just have to stop being a lazy bast and drop in at the copy shop next time I (well, someone else - I'm still on meds) drive past - I just hate dragging the A3 folder around. Yeah, I'm REALLY that lazy.
I'm in town tomorrow - I suppose I'll just bite the bullet and do it.

Of course, then I'll have to post ALL my comics (lots) - and I've only got the crappy (read 'limited') free membership at a hosting site.

Ah, shin up Mark. Maybe I'll do one with a varied bg, just to have a look how it looks.

EDIT: And I did!

It only took me about 2 minutes too. Interesting result. A pale sorta grayish blue seems to work tolerably. It does give a lot of contrast, but my feeling about a Sunstreaker sig is that it needs to be sunny, it sorta went into clouds with this or something.

I think something more might be needed to flash it up for it to work, maybe some kind of lightning-effect? Some sorta sun-stroke of light?

The one in red tones looks interesting too, but it only seems to do the job sorta halfways.

Eh, huh, what? I can't recall saying I didn't want an argument in this topic? I think it was Aux that was a bit worried? And I don't think the risk is imminent either?

I made a quick mock-up of it, in blue and red shades, to see how that would work out, and I think it's so-so. It's as if there's a need for a little tweak in the concept in order to make it sunny or somethin'.

Hey, be my guest and try it out with the same concept Mark, I think it'll no doubt look rather spiffy. You know where to get the concept-sketches that's in the bg right? It's from that web-site of the guy that did the concept-art for TFTM.

There's some pretty good stuff there that I think I'll be snagging for some future sigs. I'm thinking maybe you've done some shoppin' there too? Cause there was some pretty neat sh*t there.

the blue one works best, note how clear the yellow sunstreaker is, its like a yellow sun against a blue sky...

the black behind SS head also obscures his face a bit...

Thanks for the offer Darth. I'll use up my free hosting spaces first though. Besides, it's about 200+ pages of comic if I post all my stories.

As for Pred's update, hows about keeping the 'AUX' yellow and the background that bluey colour? Try mixing it up a bit. It's still okay as it was, but sometimes trying to go too far with a design and possibly screwing it up actually births a surprise result.

Ah yes. Letting the letters be yellow could indeed work great. And the thing with obscurity I have thought about. Now,

I really am likin it to be black sorta lines like that, framing in a bit of his world, autobot city, so that gotta stay.

So I thought about giving him some solar-bling highlights on the edges to spice it up. But opted out since I felt lazy and was a bit afraid to gedable the concept up, with too much 'bling' like I ussually do.

Maybe I'll give it a go. But since Aux is acctually happy with it as it is, it's not in the closest time-frame.

Perhaps a simple line of white or yellow around him would work then? It would keep with the simplistic theme and be very definitive in closing him off from the other black.
