of course if these people were open about how much tehy gave to charirt people would probably have a go at them for showing off.

Then again i bet half these people don't even pay ****ing Tax.

Biggest single donator to charities in the/from the UK is JK Rowling i think.

Such lists are published quite regularly. Most pop stars give money to charity but not enough to impact on their lifestyles. For example Paul McCartney makes regular donations, but considering the volumes of money he collects from Beatles revenue its very little. AFAIK about the only one who gives huge amounts of money with total abandon is Elton John.

I heard Chris Evans gave half his fortune to charity in one go. Of course, he's still loaded.

Dunno, does the 'generosity' of our government's aid mean anything, as its our money they're donating?

Didn't know Elton was in debt, thats a shame. He might be a dubious human being but I have a soft spot for him. Natch it'd be his own fault tho.
