But despite being bom diggy in real life i photo like crap!

I don't see whats wrong the photo's I've seen of you:

Sexy, mysterious, sense of humour. All from one picture. I'd date you on that.

Seriously. My Ex flatmate did this a few years ago. The photo isn't the major issue. She was alright in real life but photos were always bad but she get seveeral dates and edventually a attractive boyfriend out of it.

I feel relly unphotogenic as well

The best thing is get someone who knows you to take your pic they'll be able to do a few until they're happy they've got your 'best side' and that you look pretty good. ^_^

It wouldn't be a bad idea if they let you. It would probably mean you'd defently get someone with a sense of humour and fun which, whatever the out come of the date, would mean you'll probably have fun.

And I rarely rate anything above a sense of humour as a important requirement in the opposite sex.

Well I'd answer something like-

Somewhere quiet so that I and my guest could talk and get to know about each other, what we like and dislike, what drives us and what inspires us. Perhaps a nice Chinese restaurant.

Honestly no idea what you'd put here. Entirely up to you what your drives are ^_^ Maybe something like: "To have finally produced a formula proving God does not exist"

What really makes you happy and what makes you sad?

Again I have personally no idea what does make you happy and sad, tho I think being loved and being able to love back certainly feature quite highly on the first and probably being rejected/hurt as the second, but most of we low self-esteem types are like that. Might want to think of something light hearted to put there.

Might want to steer clear of the fact that you're the 'captain' of a TF 'club', unless she's wearing a 'funky retro' Autobot/Decepticon logo T-shirt.

I look GREAT in photos!
I'm registered on a dating site (even before my GF dumped me), but I'm waiting for some better people to join before I pay the actual membership fee so I can chat. Some of the people there are okay, but I'm an acquired taste (so to speak), so I need a special person.
The again, my sister met her ex-husband through an ad in the local paper, and he was an ARSE.
