BBC

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I know, tis giggle worthy!

Tho the best moment was when Greg Dyke resigned, and the BBC were doing live news coverage- I was expecting wires to be hanging from the ceiling and explosions in the background with people running in panic as Television Centre slowly collapses back down to hell whence it came :lol::lol:

Capitalisation on the comedic factors of observing other people's unintentional ambiguities?

Heheh... my flatmate was on the news last night, she was in several of the crowd shots outside of TVC, much to her chagrin!

How can that be? She must've known TVC was going to be a media hotspot yesterday.

Very true, however she doesn't like having her picture taken at the best of times, let alone appearing on prime time tv news!

So, she's an analogy of a medal-hating record-setting Olympian, then?

kinda, although surely picketing doesn't automatically equate to being on national TV... granted, when a place like the BBC goes on strike, you know it's going to make the news, however with the hundreds of people outside TVC yesterday, what are the chances of one person being caught on camera at least 3 times?

Wait, what's going on? The BBC was the only source of news that I came close to trusting.

My mate there had to strike too. He didn't exactly want to, as he needs the money! (he obviously thinks his job's safe)
