If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Just seen this on Fox News this morning.
Bloody brilliant! He's made the Americans look like complete chumps at their own party, and can only have strengthened the anti-war movement. Some of my favourites from the Guardian site:
"I have met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met him. The difference is that Donald Rumsfeld met him to sell him guns and to give him maps the better to target those guns."
"I was an opponent of Saddam Hussein when British and American governments and businessmen were selling him guns and gas."
"You have nothing on me, Senator, except my name on lists of names from Iraq, many of which have been drawn up after the installation of your puppet government in Iraq."
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Now if only truth still mattered in our society, we'd REALLY have something.

I find him a somewhat unpleasant man, but it did (still does) make for interesting reading.
He has a way with words, does Mr Galloway.
Wonder what they thought of a Brit attack-dog MP's style? Not to mention his accent

I thought the best thing was the reaction of the blonde journalist sat just behind Galloway in the tv footage. She couldn't believe it / thought it was quality, by the looks of it.
I've never liked the bloke, but he's got every right to be pissed off about the thing. Give 'em hell!
Grrr. Argh.

TBH I don't care if he's likeable or a "bit of a tit" - it was bloody ridiculous of the US Senate to accuse him, then give him the highest pedestal in the land and not expect him to speak his mind. And hopefully he'll shake up the staid political situation here. As one person commented: "Our democrats wouldn't say sh*t if their mouths were full of it".
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!
