Clone Wars

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

it is a bit confusing - i don't think they have handled it to well.

vol 1 (20 3 min eps), which is set after ep 2, but earleir in the clone wars is available now on DVD.

volume 2 has been shown on the cartoon network (i think) and you can see all 5 episodes of it (12 min each) on the link i posted above, teh viewer is quite small but it works fine to be honest.

Volume 2 leads directly into teh start of Ep 3.

So why they have not made it available to evreyone in a more obvious format prior to the film i have no idea. stupid.

Especially as it is so ace.

The first Volume was quite meh, but the second rocked. (especially Griveus and Shak-Ti...)

You canget better quality downloads on any DC++ cartoon hub, btw.

Only problem with the link is that you have to be a member of hyper-space for that...wich everyone is not. I catched most of it a digital-tv on Cartoon Network on saturdays tho. They've got it all in a one hour cut, pretty sweet.

Ah, yes. :) I have been thinking about a Volume 2 discussion for some time, since it is so, quite frankly, like animated sex. :joy:

No, let me correct that, better than sex, it's Star Wars.

Wendy Tartakowsky is truly an animtion-genius, Bruce Timm quality damn near it. I love it as it seems as if it acctually has cell-shading 3D for the ships n stuff at times, but it blends perfectly.

*Spoilers*

--- oh, yes

--- yeah

--oohh

My own favorite of vol2 is the chase with General Grievous and Shakti and her lads, trying to save the 'chanselor', what a wicked genius. At the end you just curse all when he gets away, just when Master Windu gets there, ready to destroy that cybernetic abomination. Class.

Clone wars started my excitement for episode 3. It's awesome.

Look at my Avatar to see how clone wars made a 'nothing' charactrer one of my favs :)

The bets news is Lucas intends to continue it. Some adventures in between 1 and 2 maybe? Or some of the first major battles.

I plan to see 'em. Shame the eps are a bit short tho?

No doubt better than the Ewok cartoon!

I watched a couple of eps but couldn't understand anything that was happening, mainly due to Cartoon Network insisting on only releasing the eps about 5 at a time, and repeating whatever ep was on that day every hour despite it only being around 2 mins long.

It's like when they used to show TinTin on TV-AM, the eps were so short I could never get a grasp of what was happening

That and that whole bit with 'lil Anakin going "Please master, I'm scared..." with that lemon-sucking expression on his face still makes me and my sisters roll around with laughter

Since then I've become to jaded and cynical to try and catch up with it ;)

Interesting, it would seem as if we are both right, partially.

But then you can watch the small-size ep by clicking above it. And to the left is a small archive of links wich leads to the other eps, low-rez and clickable. How odd. Are they having piss-poor security on hyper-space or are there high-rez versions in that archive?

The small versions are for everybody.
Only the large ones are for hyperspace members.

I can only watch Episode 21 also. Have to sign up to watch the rest, regardless of what size. Is the site free to register??

Strange that I did not.

Watched 21 & 22 lo-res last night, but then had to give up as I'd started to drift off (nothing to do with the eps, just rather late).

The last episode is awesome.

Shaak Ti has become a fan fav after those last couple of episodes. Easily the most talked about prequel Jedi who isnt a major character in the films.

I just watched one of the small sized episodes.

In my need to be a completist, I will be downloading the large size movies, if they hold up well enough they will be placed onto a DVD (menu system inculded) - Ill burn copies, but will have to charge £5, soz, DVD's are still expensive!

But essentially you will have by all accounts Vol.2 Clone Wars

you have to either join hyperspace or buy the dvd for that, only volume 2 (eps 21 - 25) is available for free.
