The PSP will conquer the gaming industry!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Maaaaaan, that was long.

Good fun though.

What the hell is a Playdia????? and a PC FX?????????????? Is it a later release of a PC engine?

Thought I was well learned in the console world, obviously not :(

The Golden Instruction Manual speaks to us about those who have not seen the light of the PSP and it's 16:9 screen. The physical darkness they will experience will be an outward sign of their inward moral, spiritual darkness. Men are described as loving darkness rather than light because they have chosen tiny little cartridge-based Gameboys over the glory of the PSP. Hell will thus solemnly ratify the choices that men have made in buying portable games. Men who chose to close their eyes to the PSP, choosing their own Gameboys, Palm Pilots, or Ipods, will perish forever with their own gadgets which in reality is self-chosen darkness. Men shut up with the Blackberries they have bought will languish forever with no light ever to break into their darkness.

But the PSP is a glorious light that Sony has brought into our lives. It is only by loving and humbling ourselves before the PSP that we will be forgiven for using other consoles, and it's huge and vivid screen will fill us with its light and wisdom. The PSP teaches us to reach out, connect, and love each other through its wireless internet play. It is this which lends great urgency to the call for men to come to the PSP for salvation. It is this which makes your choice so vastly important.

I can't wait to get one. Im hoping that hackers will quickly get a bunhc of emulators to run off them soon.

With this and my DS I'm in gaming heaven :)

Right now there's a way to use a finished 'Wipeout' game to open a web browser. I haven't seen it, but it's out there. There's also no reason they couldn't put a web browser into the regular software. (Actually, they can put anything they want into the software because you download OS updates off the net)

I've got mine and it's all that's keeping me sane here in Korea. Trust me, the PSP is *slick*
