I don't think he will leave, not this season, but if after next season, we are getting nowhere still, he will definately go.
He agreed to stay as he wants to win things with liverpool. Surely he wouldnt expect to win the league in Benitez's first season in charge, especially with a squad in need of drastic overhaul. So if this is the case, why bother staying this season at all?
He knows as much as anyone else that there needs to be signings so we can challenge the big teams, and the board have done this. Ciisse and Alonso were £10 million each, and although he hasn't showed great form yet, no one can question the class of Morientes.
I also think the champions league performances have shown him the potential the side has.
I think people underestimate his loyalty. When he scored in the Merseyside derby, he ran up to the kop, kissed his badge and said 'im not going anywhere'.
I hope i'm not eating my words in a couple of months, i am 95% certain he would stay. Chelsea would have to pay through the nose for him, not that money is much of an issue for them.

Thank you, it was easy to be constructive when we talk football with you, backing it up was a case of simply dismissing what you have to say.Jetfire wrote:Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:jets, your talking crap mate.
plain and simple.
Wow really constructive post there. Strong arguement. Love the way you backed it up.
End of the day, We bought some decent players, and some crap ones, all clubs do.
We beat you twice. once with 10 men, and if you think we were cheating. well tough, not my problem.
Anything else?
Im sorry but everytime we talk footbal its an excuse for you to just bash United. I wouldnt mind but like I say, you talk crap.

This is why I'm proud to be a Saints fan.
I'm the first to admit that my team are crap, so I don't end up getting into dull and repetitive multi-page slagging matches about it in every thread on the subject.
Arsenal and Utd are as bad as each other. As are the fans. The word blinkered springs to mind.

Yes but I said at the start of this thread, that Uniteds performance against Norwich was sodding crap. 3 times I belive in the whol thread.
I had no problem admitting this.
WHat happens next?
Jets is in here explainging why United as a whole are crap, the manager is crap, the team is crap, everything is crap etc...
Im not sure if its here just to wind me up or not, im pretty bored of it.
I guess ill have to ignore football threads which include talk of my team from now on.

Indeed. This discussion was in part about Man Utd losing.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:Yes but I said at the start of this thread, that Uniteds performance against Norwich was sodding crap. 3 times I belive in the whol thread.

I was discussing it with my thoughts on Utd's performance and how Man Utd look likely to have gone from virtually unstopable force in English football to highly likely comming 3rd for the 3rd time in 4 years while spending incredable amounts of money, more money than they ever had in the "glory" years while their tickets are raised to record highs. Deserves some discussion as a big topic in football. I recall everybody and their mother discussing it in Man Utd's first bout of poor form this season.
I actually blamed the recent poor form has been when Man Utd have been trying to force a new system on the players who still clearly are trying but clearly, in my opinion, do not match in that particular system.
I hever said Man Utd are crap, crap, crap (That's Snarlo's arguement for Arsenal ). Only you in you paranoid "Ohhh more blind man Utd bashing. I MUST strike back" state of mind assumed that. I'm not intrested it you admitted Man Utd played crap I was mearly agreeing and adding my thought as to why.
