South Park New Season So Far

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

South Park New Season So Far

Post by Shanti418 » Thu Mar 31, 2005 6:39 pm

Four episodes in. So we're a quarter of the way through the season, or halfway through the first batch of episodes.

What do you guys think so far? I think "Die Hippie Die" has been the funniest so far, followed by the new Terri Schiavo themed episode last night, then Wing, then Mr. Garrison's FNV.

That episode last night WAS pretty funny, though. Matt and Trey have my dream job, man. They look at what's going on in the world, and then point out how it's stupid and how their opinion makes much more sense in a humerous way in front of the audience of millions.

I've only seen the first two episodes so far.

IMO the first episode was really great.
Not really funny - just twisted and great.

Die hippie die was funny. They spoof Armageddon and Indipendence Day and god knows what.
And Slayer - Raining blood ******* rocks :D
Can't believe I'm still here.

Best Friends Forever was pretty funny. I think Die Hippie Die is the best so far though...

I really loved the Terri Schiavo one, mostly because I bought my PSP two days ago and I've been completely addicted to it. 8)

The Hippie one is the best of the three by far...The Core would have been a much better movie if it was that episode instead of what they actually put on cellophane...

So, judging by lack of omission, I'd say that we all agree that the "Wing" episode was pretty so-so, eh?

I just thought that the City Wok guy was a lot more funny in the episode where he builds the Great Wall, and that the whole concept of the boys running a buisness was funnier when they were detectives. But it was still pretty funny.

The baseball-episode was pure coolness!
Sort of a Rocky-parody.

The episode wasnt "laugh 'til you die"-funny - but I rank it as the best of the season. As I said: coolness.

I love Randy Marsh by the way. He's such a great character :)

Yeah, when I saw "The Losing Edge," I thought, "meh. pretty good. not as good as some, not as bad as others. I guess it's ok since it coincided with the start of the baseball season."

However, after watching it two more times and hearing from two of my friends that it was "really funny" and "one of her favorites of all time" (and yes, she's seen most of them), I've come to the conclusion that it's a damn fine episode. And that's it's fun to go around saying, "I'm sorry, I thought this was America."

'Tis true, 'tis true.

If I was ever banned for cussing, I'd make my fake persona "S*****418"
