The Tears

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler's new band.

Anybody else heard anything by them? They sound, unsurprisingly, just like Suede. Bit pointless, maybe, but there you go.

Comments? Opinions?

I'm very curious about The Tears.

Apparently they do sound like Suede, though not as good, but have a certain magic.

The point? Well, to get more Butler/Anderson compositions I guess. Butler left the band after only 2 albums. We needed more dagmanit!

Suede without him were a bit ordinary.

The single is kinda nice. Bit like the McAlmont and Butler stuff but with a less able singer.

A grower perhaps.

I got suckered into buying the last mcalmont and butler album on the strength of 1 single I no longer like that much.

Heard about them months ago. Sounds a bit arse, and the vocals have gone to the crack.

Suede were known in the US as the London Suede, to prevent confusion with Johnny Suede....
