I hate my insurance company. Because of them I am now cleaned out. I pay $130 a paycheck in order to have my wife and kids covered. Jessica had to get a wisdom tooth pulled, and 6 different prescriptions.
I have now spent over $650 in the past week because CIGNA is refusing to acknowledge my wife being on my policy. When I called them to ask why, they said that coverage only extended to me. My response was "Then why did my $250 a year deductible that cost me $34 a paycheck go up to $130 a paycheck, which is EXACTLY how much it costs for a family plan with a $1000 deductible?"
I was told "Thats not our problem sir, you need to take that up with your boss. Shes on vacation. When I tried to relay a message to her about the problem, her response was "Tell Joey that I AM ON VACATION and I cant deal with it until Thursday." Which is kind of odd since she was calling the store to check up on things.. So obviously she can deal with things that only affect her.
Had to get 2 more scrips today.. another 50 bucks. Receipts are going to be shoved down some peoples throats after Thursday since I now have to put all debts on hold and borrow money from my father since I should have only spent $150 bucks total after coverage.

They are very few and far between. Most people have to get their health insurance through their employer, so we don't have much of a choice. You can get your own insurance from a different company, but it's frellin' expensive.Eline wrote:Are there no 'good' healthcare companies you can go to?

That's weird. And stupid. What's the use of insurance if it's crap?
I pay about 60 euros ($50?) a month, and can go to the GP for free, have free dental care up to a certain amount of money, and all the other things are quite okay too. I just never use it.
I'm not sure if it's still good if you're ill all the time. The only time I see my doctor is to get my ears flushed out, and other minor stuff. Once I did have to pay 3 euros for pills because they were not covered.
It's cheaper if you don't have much money, like I have. My parents pay quite a lot.

She apologized profusely and said that everything will be straightened out in 24 hours.Darth Aux wrote:Who'd she think she is, Ultra Magnus?Optimus Prime Rib wrote: "Tell Joey that I AM ON VACATION and I cant deal with it until Thursday."
