Super-Volcano - BBC1

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

How many times has this been brought up in the last ten years? Nothing new, and something we will probably never see. Just like the massive Earthquake that is supposed to sink Vancouver Island. Everyday for the past 50 years they've been saying "It'll happen any day now!"

I thought it sucked major ass, to be honest, just typical of the Beeb to do a dramatization with no drama in it. Or remake Dantes Peak.

I thought it was pretty cool - apart from actualy explaining what was going on, the effects were good and there was deff drama to it.

Pfft. I`d watch the documentary tonight on BBC2, but I know what it`ll be - "Well, this is what could happen, but the chances are it probably won`t. So we`ve been talking a load of bollocks for two nights straight, and wasted not only your time, but also your licence money."

documentary was on BC 2 last night, made a fair bit of sense.

In theory, it could happen between now and the next 50,000 years. Bit of a time gap, but there are hints that it's getting closer.

Is this the Yellowstone cauldera? I hear they have sectioned people away from cetain areas. The ground has heated up to 250 degrees, and melts your shoe soles.
