'Ere you go...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/oxford/music/download.shtml
It's BBC Oxford Radio's first ever show mainly catering for Oxford local music. First show was last night but you can listen back to it by clicking on the top right button in the link above.
Plus you'll hear my dulcet tones - I'm in the studio chipping in now and again in a co-presenting capacity.
Feedback is very welcome.

Nice.
Listened to it in work today.
Thought Tim's voice-overs were a little off, though. Didn't really mix-in with the music he was talking over, more like the music was replaced by him talking.
Can't think of anything bad to say about your participation, although I was surprised at how you sounded.
Will definitely be listening to future downloads.

Cheers bruv. Yeah, just stick it on in the background while you're working. Music ain't bad, presenters aren't half-bad.Rebis wrote:Nice.

I think the levels might need tweaking ever so slightly.Rebis wrote: Thought Tim's voice-overs were a little off, though. Didn't really mix-in with the music he was talking over, more like the music was replaced by him talking.
How come?Rebis wrote: Can't think of anything bad to say about your participation, although I was surprised at how you sounded.
Thanks again. Its got a limited 8 week run. The local music scene are going bananas for it, but the radio station's normal demographic is 50+ year old's, so we'll see.Rebis wrote: Will definitely be listening to future downloads.
At 5pm, he's an early bird.Hound wrote:does Phil Mercer do the morning show there?
I *really really* fancy him!!
*drools*
Followed by Anne Robinson. Who is more an acquired taste.
Well, you know how when you know someone online, and you build up a mental image of what they look like, and it turns out to be completely wrong?spiderfrommars wrote:How come?Rebis wrote: Can't think of anything bad to say about your participation, although I was surprised at how you sounded.
Well, imagine you already know what that person looks like, so you've built up a mental image of what they sound like. It's all very stereotypical and psychological whatnot.
I'm no good at describing voices, but if I had to put nouns or adverbs to how I thought you'd sound and how you actually sound, I'd have to plug for "expecting gravel, got sand instead". If that makes any sense at all.

I'll have you know I look nothing like that inocuous imperial infant! Well, aside from the sparseness of head hair, small ears and a rather convenient grouping of facial hair located just under my lower lip, or in Stewie's case, dribble.
In fact, just the other day, I had my photo taken for my work's intranet site and within a couple of hours, I'd been photoshopped as Ming the Merciless*, would-be conqueror of the universe!
Err, wait just one minute...
*Larry "Buster" Crabbe era.
