Star Wars Republic Commando PC

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Just a quick pov. on Republic Commando.

I got the game and right now, it is quite a quick fix for my fps squad based game addiction that I am having.

Controls:
As of any FPS, it is quite intuitive and easy to get used to.

Graphics:
Are gorgeous even set at medium level, you pretty much be moving fast and hard anyways to enjoy most of the scenery..

Commands:
Easy to go by for your mates to follow, just point and command. The game's premise is on the fact that you know where you want to post your troops for sniping.

Level design:
Just ok, nothing revolutionary from most FPS... which happens to be almost nothing but corridors, but unlike Doom3, corridors are wide enough to strafe left and right.

AI isn't that bad at all, you get to also set and disarm booby traps.

Character Scripts/Lines:
Lots of decent wise cracking lines.

There are some bugs still such as... the auto quickload and auto quicksave feature. It is assumed that if you auto quicksave at a critical part, you should be able to auto quickload, but unfortunately... this does not work most of the time. You end up autoquickloading to the previous stage fo the game of the last, rather than the current stage at current level. Remedy, just do a standard save and load.

Is it worth the $50.00... probably not, trade in some uneeded PC or console games and see if you can reduce the price by about another $15.00, or see who may have it on sale.

Looks wicked. Played the demo on KotOR II.

I like how you can position each member for support and so forth.
