If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I'm thinking of getting one and I have a few questions to ask

1) What extra stuff do Ineed for XBox Live - i.e do I need to buy network adaptors for the XBox to plug into my home networ or can I just plug some Network cable into a Network port in it and attack that to a router?

2) What good online games are there - in particular I'm looking at possibly som eRPG games though I'm not fussy on the type

3) What extras will I need, when I buy the console, I heard a rumour that You need to buy a memory card to get it to work

any other info that may be useful please add

1) you just buy the xbox live kit - or find a game in a rental store with a 2 month live ticket, and steal it from the box, i got 1 year free this way, [composite word including 'f*ck'] paying (which is £30 a year)

you can just plug the xbox directly in.

2) theres loads of online games for it, nearly all of em really have some online capacity, well the decent ones do.

3) you dont need an axtras to play, its got a 5GB HD for storage.

if u want to watch DVD's u need to buy the DVD remote for £20, the XBOX dvd player is very good quality in comparison to the PS2 which sucks as known by all.

The only extras you might need are controllers or the DVD eye and remote. But that's only if you don't have a DVD player or you're just too lazy. Both apply for me. :o
