beast wars is okay but why did tehy make Optimus Prime a monkkey???!? Optimus is a truck none of taht monkey crap thanks I like my transfomrers to be MACHINES yall animals are jsut lame

They didn't.

Optimus Primal is an entirely different character. And a gorilla, which is an ape not a monkey.
I like my transfomrers to be MACHINES yall animals are jsut lame
Ravage, Laserbeak, the Dinobots... all lame, then?

Besides, the BW characters are still machines. They just have synth-organic surfaces in their alt modes. Just like Pretenders did.
Grrr. Argh.

Ravag and teh others were MACHINES that looked like animals not animals LOL and pretenders were not in G1 not in teh cartoon anyways

cartoon sucks ass tho.

I know what John means tho, BW didnt work for me either, I didnt like the sort of techo-organic design of these animal/robots.

I just prefer your pickup/robot - F15/robot.

I think the more techno, less organic look of the Transmetals was much better than the totally-organic-on-the-outside-with-a-little-bit-of-techno-on-the-inside look of the first season beasts. Although they still had a little bit of organic in robot mode, most Transmetals could pass for G1, just with vastly suiperior poseability in toy form :D
