Our internet connection was ****** up!
I actually had to work. How bizzare is that?
I surf the web like 80% of my time at work. Today it was 0%. Horrible!
Do you surf alot at your work?

No. I lift and push around heavy things all day for minimum wage.Obfleur wrote:Our internet connection was ****** up!

The amount of muscle I've developed in my arms scares my younger brother, and he works out. I like my muscle though, not too much but it's there.
He's one of those guys who think that "women shouldn't have developed muscles", so his opinion doesn't matter.
That's not the point though. today I'm quitting! Quiiiiiiitttttingggg! Two weeks and then I'm free! Freeeee!

Man, sometimes I really miss those days.saysadie wrote:No. I lift and push around heavy things all day for minimum wage.
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

My sarcasm meter is off the chart, but your emoticon is quite contradictory.Señior's Covenant wrote:Man, sometimes I really miss those days.saysadie wrote:No. I lift and push around heavy things all day for minimum wage.
I work at a Schlotzky's Deli as a shift leader/manager making sandwiches for $10/hr (I've been there 5 years). I only work 30 hrs a week b/c I'm going to college, but let me tell you: Already, I simultaneously want to strip off the chains of capitalism, escape this proletariot prison, and work and live for something other than money AND I want to just find some job at some big corporation that will pay me a salary with benefits, so I can have my 2.3 kids and be hypnotized into apathy by sitcoms and CSI.

No, no sarcasm. Really. Despite the pay, which in fairness steadily increased as they saw what I could do (went from low end of labor totem pole to assistant floor manager, at least in duties and pay), I really enjoyed bustin' ass all day in that factory/manual labor natural paintshop/warehouse. Best exercise I've ever had. Honest work. Now I'm at a deskjob. Fine and dandy, but I still miss workout eight to fourteen hours a day.

Now if only they could combine the "real, honest work" feel of manual labor and the "real, honest money" of a desk job.
That's why I think it would be awesome to have a skill, like metalwork or glassblowing: you get to create something through hard work, and you're suitably compensated for your time and effort.

What I said made it sound like those things weren't bloody, smelly pieces of meat... so I'll correct by stating that they are.Señior's Covenant wrote:Man, sometimes I really miss those days.
Oh, I handle sales, too. But I do production, lifting and moving of heavy things too. Can be alright when you're not frustrated as hell.

Thing is - i spend way less time than i used to as i have slowly got more responsibility at work. Whereas before i was fully guilty of it myself now peoples' lack of brevity on the internet just galls me.
I disagree with you, ergo here is an essay.
hmm... **** off then.
