Not nearly as lame as the US version. They don't have the long wanky text "1 will be bad...4 will be...fantastic...forever...4-ever...etc." Also, that intolerable techno has been replaced with the theme from the Spider-Man 2 trailer. Different and extended scenes too. Plus some voice clips of the characters.
Still doesn't look "good" imho, but it makes it look more Like a Daredevil and less like an Elektra.

I say you watch the DD director's cut, Predling, then tell me if you still don't like it.
I'm not on board with this thing; Michael Chiklis as the Thing made sense until I found that he was actually all of like 5'2"...I guess it's a very compact version of the Thing or something...

They cut the sex scene and it became an R rated movie; plus an entire subplot that wasn't there before. I liked the original, but this one is a far better representation of the comic and the Murdock character, esp. with trying to balance his two lives. And there's more Foggy too.Brendocon wrote:They edited in some acting? It was PG-13 before. The big difference is amount of nudity or language, or both depending on what kind of movie it is. Least that's how I've always read it. In this case it's language, although the new subplot makes the overtone of the movie a lot more serious.Brendocon wrote:Doesn't mean a thing to me, I'm afraid. R is... what? And what was it rated prior?
As for Elektra...I guess they figure what's good for the comics is good for the movies? I dunno.

It is a weird standard...it seems there can be a glimpse in PG-13. Also they won't throw an R on a movie unless there's more than one F-bomb; Spaceballs for instance they dropped an F-bomb and it was still PG-13, but if they'd added one more, it woulda been R, like in the DD director's cut.spiderfrommars wrote:Doesn't a film become an R automatically if there's a glimpse of nudity?
Prepostrous if you ask me.
I really don't get it either. I think the MPAA has a website, maybe they can explain all the little nuances.
