Hmm, this sounds very bizarre and very complicated. But like others have said keep cool and plot your next step. To get back at someone if they have hurt you immensely is your right. But one must also understand
that revenge must be equal or as close as is for ones own personal ethical borders possible.

The problem lies in the fact that she's a mum.

Anything you do that will hurt her immensely emotionally will no doubt be taken out/spilled over on her kids. And as we know the poor children have nothing to do with this. Therein lies the dilemma.

But whatever you do, don't start smoking again. That means that you have been completely broken down and needs a crutch to calm yourself. Don't let her win Mark.

Well, as they are a part of his worries, the worry to breake down and light 20 cigarettes at one time, to try to get some peace of mind, but at the same time expose himself to several potentially deadly deceases I think they are a big part of his worries.

However you are quite right, they are not his biggest one right now.

Perhaps he should smoke and drink & take pills if it can make him forget what has happened to his heart.

But I just hope he doesn't, a self-destructive spiral starts somewhere, and however it may start it's certainly the last thing he needs now. He needs his friends and what family he has to mend himself, heal emotionally. And using chemicals will only numb the pain somewhat, and when the quick fix is over it will come back so much worse.

None of that Mark, please. Stay at home for the next few days, have some mates over a day, and talk with them. And continue to post here on TransFans.

Then, might the time to go out and party be. But go out with a lot of mates and perhaps offer them to drive or something else that might be crucial to your night out. Then you'll know that you'll atleast stay somewaht sober.

but equally i would have thought what is promary at the moment is remaining as collected as possibel an dif that means having a fag so be it.

I admit ive had a smoke, just been for a long walk with my mum on the local headland, and yes I smoked, in one sense it feels like she made me so, well thats another thing to think about.

Come back feeling a bit calmer about things. im not sure how to explain everything right now, it is somewhat complex. i mean bottom line is shes done somthing really ******.

thanks for all the support i was close to topping myself this morning, but thought better of it.

I feel so bad for you, Mark: my heart goes out to you. I once had a best friend sleep with my girlfriend, so I know how you feel. But to have the difficulty of children being involved must be exponentially more difficult.

But don't feel like you have lost a family. You may have lost trust in your wife. You may have even lost your wife. But your family, those kids, their love for you, their need for you as a father, that's always going to be there. And one day, you may even have to be there for them, just like how your mom is there for you right now.

Personally, I say smoke a few cigs if it'll help you out. Some people would take their pain and stuff themselves full of food, or go out and have sex with strangers, so a cigarette or two could actually be considered one of the safer things to do in this situation. Hell, have a joint!
