The assignments just keep coming in

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Seems like Quest3D is my ticket to success... not only do people from the official forum contact me for paid freelance work, my own website now appears to generate interesting traffic.

Just got a message from a local company looking for expertise... looking good so far.

It's cool to be asked, instead of having to job hunt myself.

Coolness Dylan! :)

Will this mean more travel for you?
Can't believe I'm still here.

Thanks!

Not sure about more travelling with regards to this current option - the company is actually located here in my home town of Delft. Would be easy if it's just 10 minutes away or so.

But to be honest, I'm definitely considering taking this to another level - I already have my own small IT company with two friends, but that's websites and database applications and such. I might abandon that, and go with my own Paladin Studios in the near future. I'd provide 3d modeling, Quest3D programming and training, and project consultancy and management services then. I'd have to create a pool of talented friends who could help out, if that would work, it might actually be financially interesting too.

It's all a matter of making a number of decisions. And I hate to specialize, that much I know now.

sounds good- if your generating that much interest, then perhaps specializing in one things isnt to bad.
when your in demand you can start to charge what you like of course :)
