If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Erm.. with Sherri and Nina.
Unrelated.. my family is now getting into 24. They're watching S1.. and, well, I can not stay away. It takes like 87% of my energy to not get so pissed every time i see one of the two aforementioned.. or Terry.

Not that I care about spoilers for 24, but can anyone else see how easy it is to catch the spoiler due to it only being padded at one end?

Unfortunately, this will probably unintentionally be read by someone wanting to get to the next reply in the thread.

Does this board system support that wotsit where you can type spoilers within a doo-dad (like the bold and italics [] thingies), which covers the selected text with a grey box that you have to click and drag over to read?
Wotsits and doo-dads. Smart make me the innernet.

Don't think so. Could probably knock it up if there was real demand, though.

Ah. The trick there is making the text the same colour as the post background, which you can see alternates from post to post. So you'd need to check what colour your post would be, make sure that the board has a font the exact same colour, and then hope that no bugger sneaks in and posts in the interim.
What's probably a lot simpler is to just whack the font size down to 1, so people will need to quote the post or copy/paste into notepad.
Grrr. Argh.
