Dame Ellen Macarthur

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Really, how many times has she done this whole "alone on a boat" thing?

Is that the most exciting thing in her life? Being on her own?

Sorry if I come across as not caring, but I kinda don't... yeah, well done, managing to achieve it... but after a while I have to ask why.

the other trips she did were races. but this was the classic, i can sail around the world fastest, on her own.

I find it quite inpsiring to be honest. considering how mad we go for other sporting heroes, what shes done takes courage, stamina, determination - yes she obviously enjoys her own company. I really think its amazing.

Good for her. Hopefully she'll stop doing it now so she can stop getting on tv and radio whining and crying. It really annoys me, she chooses to do these things then moans the whole time

To set a world record, does everyone have to start and end at the same place. Eh?
