But I liked season 1 of Enterprise, and what little I got to see of season2. :( It wasn't like Voyager (I liked voyager better than DS9, don't kill me for it..) but it was still Star Trek fun. :) Sad to hear it's over. :( I hop it got a spiffy ending. :) Can't really figure out where they should go from here, since it was a new chapter in the Star Trek time-line. Oh well, if we ever see another Star trek show it'll probably be fast-forward 78 years. Hmm...could be interesting, could be tosser.

I enjoyed Enterprise. The stories, characters, everything. But since I got married I almost never had time to watch it and had to be hopeful I'd catch a rerun from time to time just to see something. It's for the best though. A prequal-series-esque thing in that continuity could only go so far and I think it's at a nice stopping point. This will hopefully (last episode(s)) pending) be a stopping point that doesn't touch further on the Romulans. Leave the series as what it should have been and nothing more; The setup for Kirk's run.

I'd honestly prefer if they thought very long and hard (no jokes!) about all aspects before attempting a new series. They've done it all so far as I'm concerned. I hope I pass away from old age before I see a ST series with the whole time-travel aspect as a norm. They've covered enough of that in every series.

I detest Enterprise. I have no empathy for any of the characters and have been bored to tears by the plots. Its a welcomed cancellation. Voyager and Next Gen were far more entertaining.

I thought the idea for the next series would be along the lines of Starfleet Academy? I can safely predict that will be the worst thing EVER

its odd how they are left in a void of where to go, its a big galaxy u think they could find something.

Maybe its thier own punch line, 'to boldly go where no man has gone before' thats actually done them over?

Maybe they should start a new continuity. and set it on a much smaller ship. And let Jos Whedon write it. And call it Firefly.

That would be a lot better.

Mmm. If you've never seen, definitely attempt a looksie at some of her modeling day shots. Most impressive female design.

Al made a guest appearance? I never knew. Bakula was one of the draws to the show in the first place for me.

So how long will it take until another show and/or movie shows up?

It seems like Star Trek is in worse shape than it's ever been.

Who is to blame for that?

i always said this would not last, it was not dark enough, enterprise had potential, but was way way too TNG like, it should have been the trek "dark age", but it was another faint light

too bad, but serves Bragga for his arrogance as mister know it all better

I always thought Enterprise was trying to harken back to the swashbuckling days of the original Star Trek. That's why they did the series set in such an early part of the timeline.

For me, I want to see what's going on in the ST universe post DS9. Not "flung out in some quadrant no one knows about" or "set way back in time".

Not saying that I even liked DS9 that much. Well, okay, the Dominion wars were pretty awesome.

For me, DS9 was the pinacle of Trekdom - it existed in the squeaky-clean TNG universe but was dark enough to break at least some of the rules. Voyager was a bag of wank - it had a great premise, but then had to finish evey episode where it left off, with the same squeaky-clean scenario it started with. And aliens on the other side of the ******* galaxy should not look human and should not speak English every ******* episode. I can buy it in TNG because of the Galen theory but 70,000 light years from home is just taking the piss.

Enterprise - some episodes I thought were good, particularly the later ones when Bakula started to get a bit dark. Mostly though it bored me or annoyed me in the same holier than thou way that Voyager did. And tbh because it wasn't ever shown at a regular time on UKTV meant that I just couldn't get into it like I did with TNG/DS9. Like Smallville being shown on T4. I really want to watch this series, but the chances of encountering Kay (****) or Sarpong (holy [composite word including 'f*ck']) are enough to turn me off until DVD.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Next Generation was the best so far, and DS9 had the best running storyline... They even took the liberty to having the DS9 base lost and in the hands of the dominion for a good part of a season... Voyager was kinda meh, though I liked some of the characters (the doctor and 7/9).

The new series was, well, not a great show.

Bashing of Voyager makes Predabot a dull-boy. I can't really say that I ever got into DS9, it never quite caught me. I watched season 1-2 and saw some of season 3 with the Dominion. I never really thought the Dominion was that good villains. Especially when you knew the comparisson would be the Borg. And let's face it, compared to the ultimate villains, the Borg, the Dominion are a bunch of wusses, ripe for assimilation. Ok, Voyagers first season with those Chazon weren't that impressive, pretty lame villains really, primitive slime, the Borg doesn't even consider them suitable for assimilation, they're too imperfect, but I still enjoyed the premise of the show more than DS9. And once they move out of that region of space, things started to get good. Especially when they come close to Borg-space. :D

And EmmVee, the same could be said about a whole bunch of aliens from the Gamma-quadrant of DS9.

Nah, the human :p

...tbh I'm not sure Voyager did get better when they hit Borg-space. For a start, they didn't kill Neelix, the singularly most pointless character since Weasely Crusher, and for another thing, the nonentities on board Voyager managed to beat the Borg every single week, when the Borg are supposed to be the scariest villains in the whole Trek universe.

Having said that, apart from T'Pol and Archer, the Enterprise was mostly crewed by boring nonentities too.

DS9 came into its own post season 3 - the final few seasons were just amazing, the scale of the war and the continuing plots made it magic to watch.
the crew were all great, and all served a purpose even Norn at the bar...

the final episode where they all reflect on things brough tears to my eyes, and at least Worf actually eneded up sorting **** out with the empire, a cool story line started way back TNG.

great stuff. voager I just watched as 7/9 was wicked... Jeri Ryan how I miss you!

Yeah, I gotta admit I did watch the last few series of Voyager because of Jeri. If the rest of the crew had been assimilated and just left 7 and the doctor, Voyager would have been a great show. Maybe the Klingon bird as well.

Oh Christ I just got back the memory of that episode where they meet species 8472 (or whatever) again, and they've replicated 24th Century Earth in the delta quadrant and assumed human disguises and by the end of it the Voyager crew and the 8472s are so friendly they're trading recipes and wanking each other off under a blanket. How to totally destroy a great alien race in one easy episode. No wonder the last series was mostly populated by Predator-clones...

Ah Species 8427. :D I must say that the introductory story for them, Scorpion was just l33t. I consider it one of the best of Star Trek. Cause they're just so fun! :)

The borg cannot assimilate them, they build all their tech from their own dna, they have eradicated all other life from their realm, and oh, the coolest thing, they hail from another dimension! :D Fluidic space.

Not exactly what you would have expected. Hmm..I must say that I'm a bit cut in half about that episode, it shows abit of what they are capable of with that insane bio-engineering that they've got, and gives some depth to them, they're not just one-track killing machines, but individuals. However it was a bit "fluffy" and perhaps not all that belivable.

BTW: 7/9 is da bozz-bozz. :D Best character ever. Jeri Ryan's a rather attractive female too aint she? ;)

Yeah Scorpion was a 1337 episode. I have that one on tape. I love the beginning where they just nuke like 3 cubes :D :D :D But the follow-up still makes me want to tear out my eyes and jump up and down on them.

Well, there is one story prior to that I think, you know, while Kess was still on the ship (I acctually liked the character of Kess :) ) and they had one of the 8427 on the ship, wounded and hunted by one of the Predator looka-likes. That one was pretty cool too.

Acctually, I think that episode was acctually not so late after Scorpion, so she hadn't left yet. "It has no will to fight any more, it just wants to return home." Is one of her quotes from the ep.

Janeway and the lads want to help it, get a diplomatic relationship, and cause it's really not the aggressor, the Predator-lookalikes is. So they don't want to give it to them.

But when they are held at gunpoint by the Preds, 7/9, not exactly being a fan of Species 8427 teleports it to one of the pred-ships and they depart with it. Leaving her to deal with one p*ssed off Janeway.

Kess did come back tho. But later on, and sorta evil, and 10times as powerful.
