World of Warcraft - open european beta test

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

World of Warcraft - open european beta test

Post by Dylan » Mon Jan 31, 2005 12:59 pm

So, who managed to grab a key? Impy, Hound, anyone?

I have access now, and downloaded the 2.4 GB client program. O_o

This game is as awesome as we all hoped it would be.

I made a male Night Elf druid (6), a male Dwarven paladin (1), a female Night Elf priest (1) and a male Undead warrior (4 I think).

The undead are fantastically fun. My friend Michiel plays one too, he's a warlock. We're called Keldar and Kelarun, on server 01. And we laugh all the time - which results in a wicked evil animation and voice!

I think I better start taking precautions. High addiction factor detected.

Sorry to hear that, would have loved to quest together!

Man - I only played WoW for a couple of hours now, but I'm already hooked. I am having trouble concentrating on work.

I'll be playing some more tonight! But first - fitness.

my friend and I who are Ultima Online vets are affraid from what we have heard that WoW is like playing watered down UO. and EQ2, ive played EQ is UO but missing the good bits. - the style of WoW still bugs me slightly, its nice and all that, but online games of this nature require u to invest 10000 odd hours into your character, and unless I look really cool, its gonna bug me. alot.

thats not to say im not gonna play it, as its only £20 so ill see how it gos.

I so wish they would just make UO 2.

right back to super powers! - u see my latest creation has kinetics and radiation, his powers stem from a science experiment gone wrong! (yes that actually makes difference)

Sounds cool!

And concerning style - it's a matter of taste of course. I have always loved the cartoony look and good color theory of the Blizzard games. And WoW is simply a beautiful game.

I hope you'll try it, Impy.

Yep, that's my night elf druid, Darkmoon.

World of Warcraft is amazing, I fear it's taken over my brain. I let it control me for the time being. Luckily, I managed to get a bit of work done today already, but still... I think I'll give myself a few more days before applying self restriction.

Here's another shot, in the Temple of Elune.

that is very pretty - I know how these games can take over your life, UO was very like that to me, be carefull! - sounds mad, but seriously... carefull. once u have a guild online its all the more addictive.
Ill post some CoH pics when my copy comes tommorw, its no where near as pretty, but super heroe battles are cool
