CBS News fires three executives and a producer for including a forged document in a 60 Minutes report on President Bush's military service.
It had to be done.
These people offered bad information to push their own agenda, misleading the American public with reckless disregard for the consequences.
Oh wait, don't we normally award Presidential Medals of Freedom for that?

As they said on the Daily Show a couple of nights ago,
CBS got in trouble because they rushed to present evidence to the American people that wasn't properly scutinized. They were so interested in presenting their case that they forgot to fact check.
Once it was realized that they DID make a mistake, they steadfastly held to their original statements even when they no longer make sense.
I can't recall this ever happening before.
