The burden of truth...

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

The burden of truth...

CBS News fires three executives and a producer for including a forged document in a 60 Minutes report on President Bush's military service.

It had to be done.

These people offered bad information to push their own agenda, misleading the American public with reckless disregard for the consequences.

Oh wait, don't we normally award Presidential Medals of Freedom for that?

- Chicago Sun-Times

About laughed my ass off at that one...

Course I doubt Bush supporters will be able to acknowledge the hypocrisy of attacking CBS News while letting the Bush Cadre run free...

As they said on the Daily Show a couple of nights ago,

CBS got in trouble because they rushed to present evidence to the American people that wasn't properly scutinized. They were so interested in presenting their case that they forgot to fact check.

Once it was realized that they DID make a mistake, they steadfastly held to their original statements even when they no longer make sense.

I can't recall this ever happening before. :(
