So, looking back, fairly big year for Transfans what with the shift to the new site and all. Ales all round for those involved and special thanks to Compy, Spidey, TfArchive and especially Strafefox for the parts they played.

The old UBB seems an age away, as does the idea of an inactive site with yearly updates. Personally i am very chuffed with it all and we are getting good hit rates. But occassionally i do enetretain other opinions;

So looking back - what did we get right? What did we get wrong? What could we do better? Here's your chance to let us know.

A hell of a lot of work has and continues to go into this site so please try and be constructive. Also please note that while we are happy to listen to suggestions we remain free to disagree and, ha, ignore them utterly*

The interface could be tweaked so that things such as the comic guides would be broken down by relevant units (eg, 1-20, 21-40, etc) rather than pages.

Make more of the search facility with integration into the header as well as the footer.

Yeah search box up the top would be nice.

I think it turned out really nice considering everyone pooled thier talents from across the globe - shows what you can do with dedication and a few fans.

Ive always wanted more skins for the forum - but not being a mod I cant see the pallet controlls. hmm if I install a forum on my website I could experiement thiere I guess.

i agree with snarl, articles, "essays" (for lack of a better word), you know... stuff going in and explaining stuff that happened (should be fairly easy for the cartoon!

seriously - lets not go there again...

but if the shoutbox thing we have was intergrated into the choose forum page it would make alot more sense.

Also on the main page of the web site cant we have a 'hot-topic' showing the most popular threads from the dedicated TF forums we have, ie not General as ppl will think we are mad.

I think the site rules.

We as a community or Best First as a demigodlike moderator just need to keep on filling in the holes in the comics/toys sections. Once they're fully reviewed and with pics, THEN we can worry about organizing them in a more navigable fashion.

There's also room for plenty more downloads. Or how about an article section, where people could write about anything TF related that they're excited about.

Oh, and someone should design a Transfans sig, so I can show off on the other boards.

Well acctually I made one too. But it was never used by the fatman with the box-head. Want me to edit it for your purposes?

As to the site itself:

It would be absolutely cool with more board-skins yes.

And a movie-skin for next year, and of course a TFTM SKIN!

That would rule, seriously, have Impy go jsut completely ape-donkeys with that! It needs to be sort of the anti-thesis of the regular calm-skin really crazily effects-glowy!
I also sort of miss the thing on the old board, where you could have a smilie next to the topic, nowadays it so unpersonal, with nothing but a piece of paper as an icon.

I also miss the little icon wich indicates lots of activity, a small flaming folder. Sissling hot!
